Fattoria Poggio Gagliardo

An icon of renaissance, aesthetics and art. Laudatory title of “Legacy of Renaissance”.

Fattoria Poggio Gagliardo is located in Livorno, central Italy, inside the primary wine producing region of Montesudaio, which was sanctioned as a DOC production area in 1976 by the government, thereby entrusting the producer with a mission to produce high quality wines.

During the Renaissance, Livorno in central Italy was praised as the most ideal city to live in, and wines produced in this region were also considered as the best in Italy. Many prominent painters and poets from the Renaissance period complimented endlessly about the wines from the region; in particular, famed painter Masaccio even resided in the city for a certain period of time in order to taste the great wine. The irreplaceable natural conditions and climate of the region is combined with meticulous ancient wine craftsmanship to create the legendary Fattoria Poggio Gagliardo wines.
