Poderi di San Pietro

Chivalry

Poderi di San Pietro is located in San Colombano, southeast of Milan in northern Italy. Founded in Milan in 1998, the trendy wine estate fuses wine craftsmanship with a premium luxury holiday resort. Well known Italian writer Gianni Brera named the wine produced here as “el vin de Milan” (the wine of Milan). This is also the only wine-producing region near Milan, where Poderi di San Pietro has collaborated with renowned winemaker Donato Lanati to create mesmerising red wines.

During early 17th century, the small town of San Colombano permeated with the aura of chivalry. Everyone celebrated and praised the knights for their loyalty, courage, justice, love and honor. The motto “honor is worth more than life” is imprinted into the minds of knights and it is also their spiritual strength that supports their bravery on the battlefield. Being generous, humble, courteous and well-mannered is also an integral part of chivalry. The next quintessential quality is to worship love; not just love between men and women, but also a loyal, fearless knight’s sacred, pure and idealistic love for his lady. It is a form of pure, spiritual emotion that accentuates the spirit of unwavering loyalty.

Poderi di San Pietro has meticulously produced red wines using ancient techniques to welcome the knights’ triumphant return. The unique aroma and velvety texture of the wine is enhanced by the subsequent change in fragrance during the aftertaste, which has made it the reward of choice for successful professionals in the contemporary era.
